Question about Seafoam

I was wondering before I take my car to the nearest show. I wanted to seafoam it. Now I remember on my 2003 YZF 600R bike I would just place it in the tank and such and it would do it justice, but I keep seeing people putting it in the engine bay somewhere in videos on youtube. WTF doesnt that harm something. Let me know how to properly use seafoam if you could

put 1/3 of the can in your gas tank, 1/3 in your crank case through the oil neck on the valve cover, and 1/3 through a vaccuum line. I always used the brake booster line. do the vaccuum line first, pour about 1/3 in to a bowl make sure you have the engine to normal operating temp. before you start then have a friend with you start the engine and hold the vaccuum line over the bowl just dipping it in. and letting it suck up the sea foam little by little, have your friend hold the rpms or tap the gas just to keep the motor from stalling, and when you've got a decent little puddle left have your friend let off the gas put the hose in enough seafoam that it'll kill the engine. Next pour 1/3 in trhough the valve cover, and 1/3 in the gas tank. Let sit 10 mins or so then go start it back up. It'll smoke for a few mins but that means its working. Drive the car but change the oil with in the next 200 miles. Because in the crankcase it'll need to circulate to do its job but don't want it thinning out the oil too much or eating away at the detergents in the oil. Hope this helps.

1/3 of a can in the brake booster vac line. Shut the car off to let it soak for 5 min before the fluid burns off, then start it and rev at 2 grand for a couple of min.

NEVER do this.

you may end up hydro-locking your motor.

Has anyone ever seen some before and after shots of the pistons and valves when doing this through a vac line? I'd like to see how effective it is.

EDIT:

I found one

to hydrolock your motor you've have to suck about half a can of it up at once.

to hydro lock your motor, you have to suck about half a can at once.

hm. real technical tech advice.

go ahead and kill your motor by flooding your cylinders with liquid, i prefer a method as simple as turning a key off.

also, do you know which cylinders it's getting sucked into? do you know the percentages of each cylinder in terms of air consumed(also seafoam)? do you know air (and sea foam) don't flow evenly through the motor?

quit giving shitty advice like telling people to kill their engines by sucking up enough seafoam to make it die. that's just retarded.

if you're sucking up so much seafoam that your friend has to keep the RPMs up to keep it from stalling, you're going to go through a 1/3 of a can in no time at all.

exactly no one said you were gonna spend 10 mins sucking it up.

as far as "real technical tech advice" sorry wasn't being specific enough on how he should go abou it if he wants to do damage to the engine. and as far as turning the key off method do you realize that in the time it takes you to turn the key off you're burning up most if not all of the seafoam in the motor? the point is to allow it to sit on top of the piston for a period of time to break up the carbon. I wouldn't give someone advice on how to do something that would mess their car up. I've done it 2 or 3 times on my car. As well as helped other people...

Brake boost line is fine. I had to use the pcv line because my car doesn't have vac boost.

probably because you run yours harder than she does her truck...if you run the car hard on a regular basis carbon doesn't have time to settle on top of the piston.
