Trick Flow Track Heat Kit

I have installed the Trick Flow Track heat kit, .499/.510 cam, twisted wedge heads, upper and lower Track heat intake, double roller timing, 90mm MAF, roller rockers. Now that I have it all installed i can't get the car to start. I checked the injectors they are all spraying fine. I checked to see if all pulgs were getting spark, they are fine. I have everything set to t.d.c. The only thing is now my battery is kinda cranking the motor slow. So today I am going to try jumping it w/ another car while I try to start it. I am not real good w/ timing. Has anyone installed this kit or had problems starting their 5.0 after a tear down?

Make sure your distributor is on the #1 plug @ TDC of the "compression" stroke.

Its a common mistake to time it at the TDC of the "exhaust" stroke.
(aka 180 deg. out of time)

Also check to see if your fuel pump is turning on.

Isn't the number 1 plug closer to the interior of the motor on the cap? For a 93 5.0 So on t.d.c. the rotor should be pointing towarrds the firewall?

The cap doesn't matter. Where ever the rotor is pointing when number 1 cylinder is at top dead center on the compression stroke is where number one is on the distributor. You need to get the number one cylinder at top dead center on the compression stroke before you can worry about where number one on the distributor is.

Now that I have it all set right, I got it to fire once and it was God afull loud. I pulled the spark plugs and i could dump gass out of the plugs. This can't be good?

Is the fuel pressure regulator hooked up to a manifold vacume source?

Is the mass air meter calibrated for the injector size your using?

yes the fuel regulator is hooked up, I had to install some connections for it on the new upper plenum. I bought a 90mm MAF that is suppose to be calaberated to 19# injectors. I will check the box to make sure the did calaberate it to the right size.
