Explorer Intake & TB, Rails etc

I bought a complete explorer upper/lower, tb, fuel rail, etc setup.

My question is, what should I use from it? Im assuming everything, but I have read the fuel rail etc cannot be used (looks in better condition then my mustangs)

Can i use the TB just the way it is? can someone sum up this swap.

Thanks in advance!

I've heard of people doing this... but does this swap give you more performance or what? Do people just use them for replacement parts, or is it proven that you get gains from it?

BadBlackGT - It's a proven gain, It's almost the same as the GT40/Cobra Intake, gives 5-15 HP I hear depending on what other mods you have done.

For the TB, you have to switch the plate that is attached to the throttle blade shaft. It's at the bottom of the TB, and is what your throttle cable attaches to. Just grind off the little tab to remove it, swap the one from your stock TB on, and give it a good tack weld.

Then the TPS from the xplorer has to be used on the new throttle body. just cut splice, sodder, and shrinktube.

Thanks - Although a bunch of sites disagree on the TPS, they say the tab should be ground down and the stock mustang one should be used (by widening out the bolt holes on the TPS unit itself. Do you have the explorer one working on your car?

Line from the filler neck to the tb is disconected. It blocked on the tb. And the open on the filler neck. Also have a breather on the filler neck. I was getting oil in the pipes still. I just but a breather on the filler neck. If it doesn't help I'm going to put a water seperator between the pcv and the upper intake manifold.
