fuel rails


another stupid question....when i pulled my motor out i just pulled the fuel rails off of the injectors.....should i not have done that. was i sposed to do anything else first....now the motor isnt in, but i had to turn the key to put down the windows and i noticxed that of coarse the fuel pump still pumps....but it shouts out only the first few holes in the fuel rail. should it come out all of them???

I don't think so.

When the rail is hooked up to the injectors, it becomes pressurize, so fuel will come out each port as needed.

With no injectors, the fuel just pushed out the easiest point of exit, and there's only enough pressure to make it to the second injector.

I wouldn't worry about it.

thanks that is the same thing i was thinking. i read just the other day that i should have depressureized the tank?? before i do anything with the fuel system. i was just worried i might have screwed something up by just popping them off the injectors
