Help with Prochamber

I have a 91 LX body with a T-5 tranny. I have shorty headers, but I am having trouble getting the Prochamber to fit within the crossmember humps. When the downtubes are bolted up, they hang just below the crossmember mounting points. The guy I bought the exhaust from, says that it was mounted in an 88 LX. Any suggestions? Is there a difference automatic and manual crossmembers?

Just sayin. I could imagine how a prochamber wouldn't fit right though. After that thread I realized the Mac headers are shit and my next set will be another brand. The catbacks fit fine and my h pipe is fine.

Well metal tends to warp/do weird things after several heat cycles, and Mac is knows for this, I've read threads where the mid pipe is off as much as 2-3 inches per side and people have to pry/fangle it in

Well, my header at the #4 cylinder is warped. The bolts somehow came out and it sits off the head a little. I'm probably gonna go with BBk for headers now on. My h-pipe fits perfect though. Maybe its just because my headers/mid pipe are both mac lol. I tried putting my friend's BBK h-pipe on for emissions and it didn't line up right at the headers

I think that I have found the problem. The picture below on the left is the setup that I need (79-93), the one on the right is the one that I have (94-95). Because of the inlets on the chamber, the pipes have to come in at a greater angle, not allowing them to fit in the crossmember humps. I guess the dude lied, when he said that they were installed on an 88 LX. I reckon that I will have to go kick his ass, brb.

Well shit. Best bet is to hit up and exhaust shop, and bring the collectors. have them mock up the prochamber unit in place, and cut to fit. That's what I've had to do On two of my shorty h pipes, doesn't matter what brand, these cars are all old and none of them are the same lol

Thats sucks, did you buy it on craigslist or ebay or something? If nothing else at least it was a semi-cheap life lesson, always try to double check to make sure the stuff fits on your application.

Hopefully ya can figure something out or return it.....
