i ran the wire from the fuse box to the battery in the trunk..can i have it run this way..i still have the engine harness wire connected to the fuse box as well which i believe runs over to the alternator..correct me if im wrong, cause i saw a few diagrams and they show it running strait to the alternator

You have to run the power wire up from the battery to the starter solenoid

so just run one wire from the positive post to the starter and ground the battery to chassis and i should run a wire from the block to chassis as well to ensure a good ground, correct?

run the red wire from the positive battery terminal to the starter solenoid, not the starter, and the black wire from the negative terminal to the frame

everything that gets power comes off the battery side of the solenoid. go look at the stock setup only one wire runs to the solenoid and everything runs off that.

UNLESS there are wires added aftermarket (stereo amp wiring, extra 12v, ect) then those will need to be dealt with

you do need to ground the block. Quick Car sells a nice wire kit, i just bought one for my fox and wired it up the night. I also went with bigger wires for the starter and alternator. Make sure your grounds good. better ground you have on all your shit the better power your gonna get out of the power side.
