My car is haunted.... When I would try to start the car the starter would hang even when I turned the key off. I have to run out of the car and disconect the battery to stop the starter.... So I figured the starter was bad, I decided to replace it. I put the battery cable on and wammm in gear the car turns on and runs over my foot. So I can't take it any more I don't know what would make the starter hang. Please any help would be appreciated

post a pic of how you have the wires routed on your starter solenoid, and is this on a fox?

I only replaced the starter not the solenoid. The starter was pretty strait forward you know, only one line. I haven't touched the solenoid yet so I imagine it could be bad or something. Oh almost forgot to mention. Yes, It is a fox

you need the ignition switch, it's sticking on is why you have to disconnect the battery

I bought a new ignition switch, I took the console off of the steering wheel. I hit one problem when changing it... On the switch the 2 start bolts has pins sticking out of the middle that won't let me get at them. Is there a special way to change it???:
