Brake issues

I am lost trying to fix this problem...

I recently put on a full 5 lug swap. It has 95 gt front spindles and breaks and the rear is a 5 lug conversion axle with drums.

Before the swap, the pedal felt great and stopped well.

After wards, the pedal is super spongey and feels like I only have front brakes.

There is NO air in the lines. I have bled them 10 times now and that is not the problem.

Someone suggested that although I have rear drums that I should switch to an all disc brake proportioning valve.

The guys car I got all the stuff from was identical to mine except he had an all disc prop valve.

What do you think?

have you yanked on the e-brake yet?
if not do it a couple times...
also roll backwards and apply the brakes...

I've read that a new booster is generally needed.

How old are your brake lines? The one in the back may be shot. I wouldn't think that you'd need a new valve because you didn't replace or modify any hydraulic parts.

If you didn't mess with the adjusters while you replaced the axles, you shouldn't have an adjustment issue.... unless your 5 lug drums have the wrong inside diameter.

Pumping the e-brake handle won't do anything.

yeah, if your caliper bores are bigger, you will need a master cyl with a bigger bore. I was thinking that you used the original calipers.

With using sn95 rear disc brake parts you generally need to switch to a 3-2 port master cylinder and a proportioning valve upgrade or at least modify the stock one.

read here: 3-2 Port master cylinder conversion kits for Fox3 Mustangs (87-93)

I'm just really confused because I wanted the setup because it had rear drum brakes - I didn't think I needed to change anything else as long as it's disc/drum
