carb to efi
So I see a few threads for going efi to carb but what about the other way around?? Does anyone have a good link for carb to efi?? I'm going for a daily driver and I won't see much track time. Also, I have a 351W if that really makes much of a difference.

Fuel injection atomizes the fuel by forcibly pumping it through a small nozzle under high pressure, but a carburetor relies on the vacuum created by intake air rushing through it to add the fuel to the air stream.
A carburetor performs several important functions in one single component: it measures engine load, calculates the amount of fuel needed, and adds the required fuel to the air stream. With fuel injection, these functions are performed by separate subsystems and components. This means that each subsystem can be specialized and optimized for its particular role, which brings a number of important performance benefits compared to the compromise solution offered by carburetors. http://www.lycoming.textron.com/main...lInjector.html |

In order to go to EFI, you will need a proper fuel system from tank to injectors, you will need injectors, fuel pressure regulator, 02 sensors, Intake air temp sensor, coolant temp sensor, MAP sensor, or MAF sensor (whichever style EFI you choose to run) you will need a computer to control the EFI, as well as a whole wiring harness to adapt all of the components into the car. You will also need to re-wire most of the car with relay switches to power the computer and EFI components.....it is not a small task. The best way to easily do it is to source all of the components from one donor car..... Or, if you are more daring, you can build your own system like I did on my Twin Turbo car.....which uses a stand alone EMS that is tuned from my laptop.....
