ok thanks will try, but made a bunch of gaskets that restrict flow and increase but still had no luck, when you install this do you have to go thru the idle procedure, and rest the tps?

nope. this little plate simply bolts in, and adds more air through the IAC when it is idling. it compensates for the mods on your car. No reset or anything else needed. i put mine on, and immediately saw a difference. I tuned it a little and it was amazing how it fixed my idle issues. I will sell you mine if you need me too, but it'd be a few days before i could get it off and send it off. i have mine screwed closed because i am running a speed density system now ( off of my laptop) with no EGR or anything. I just have the screws all the way closed. basically just a blank plate...... I'll switch it out if you need it, I just need to run down to the hardware store to pick up some shorter bolts for it...

If the IAC and TB plate doesn't work, try out the coolant temp sensor. Sounds like you are in open loop mode. Car always thinks its cold. Will idle hi to compensate for the low temp.
More nice pics on the parts man!! Sweet shots!

I can assure you it does work because I ran it on my car for more than a year before I switched to a speed density system where I can control my PWM IAC from my laptop. Also if you read what he said, it idles high, and then low.. it surges.... and sometimes stalls.... exactly what my car and thousands of other mustang do when modified.....

I see what you were trying to do, but when you say "gaskets" I think that maybe you could have made some gaskets that did nothing to change the airflow in the PWM but to decrease. My plate ADDS air to the PWM IAC to help smooth idle charateristics...

I wasn't doubting in the least. Just my thoughts. Went thru that last year w/ my ex's GT and hers surged. Bad sensor. Was in open loop.

i increased the size by cutting the middle out of the gsket, in return that increased the airflow, small increaments, made my idle go up but still surged

Not to say you were doubting, he just had almost identical motor combo as mine, and almost identical surging prob as mine too.... also I have built way too many mustangs....

I can see how that could have the same effect as my little spacer. The reason I offered this information is because mine worked great. My little spacer helped amazingly with my idle surge problems.... maybe it does more than just add air, but thats all it seems to do..... All I know is your problems sounds identical to mine.... and this little thing fixed it....

Just set your idle, if you set it too low then the IAC has too much trouble trying to do what the throttle blade does. All too many guys try to set there idle too low for that lobey sound but the computer likes it higher and will try to keep it there using the IAC

put her back on the hoist noticed that one of th o2 sensors wasnt threaded in all the way and it had an exsuat leak, cleaned the o2 on both sides and tighten them down myself and whamo, perfect idle when warm anyways, still searches when cold but barely noticable, thanks for your guys input

My car did the same damn thing!! All i did to fix the problem is upped the idle a hair. Theres a screw on your throttle body at your throttle linkage try it and it will if your problem. Only turn ir up a little bit you dont want to make your idle to high. I now idle at 950-1000 after it warms up.
