302 in a 1999???


has anyone ever done this? im building a 302 up quite a bit to put in my v-6 1999. i changed the rearend an bought a t-5 an lots of stuff for the motor....just wondering what kind of mods i might be lookin into with the k member and stuff like that...as in what do i have to cut and/or weld.

You don't have to cut or weld anything. You just need a swap K member. Now I don't know about all the electrical stuff.

Switching the K isnt needed. Just use 302 94-95 mounts.

i thought they were the same as the 87 through 93? have you done that before?

As far as the Foxbody cars go, all of the k-members are the same, except for the INLINE 6 they put in Foxbody Mustangs. I put a 5.0 on a 2.3 k-member. I had to take the 2.3 mounts off and put 5.0 mounts on it.


However, this is something I read on another forum:

the 94-95 v6 and v8 k-members work with 5.0, 5.8, and 3.8 engines

the 96-04 v6 and v8 k-members work with 4.6, 5.4, and 3.8 engines

mustangmatt has a 96 he swapd and im doin a 00 as well but with 351w and a c4 tranny im using 94-95 k member should have no prob matt has lots of knowledge of this swap...
