push button start

i have been debating wiring everything to switches and eliminating the need for a key in my car but I just have a question... is there any type of steering column lock that would keep the wheel locked and prevent it from steering even if the car was powered on and running through a push button start?

I have a push button start in my POS... and yes there is a wheel lock that I took out. It will only turn if you put the key in the car.

My car is pushbutton only. No switch or lock on the column at all.

I used a Painless switch panel.

we installed a push button start on the 09. works really well. set it up so you have to have the key in the ignition to start it up and its just something that looks neat and helps if you lose the cap off yoru cig lighter lol . plus my son loves to start up the car with it. Easy instal except for taking out the side panel and the front dash.

The electronic lock that you're talking about doing - have you ever though about what happens if it fails or the fuse goes or your battery goes dead?
