Do I need tuning for air intake and exhaust?

I am getting my bassani X pipe and 1 chamber flow masters put on friday. Do I need any motor tuning or anything for this? I am also considering some type of intake do I need tuning for that? How much are intakes and what will I get out of them? Is K&N the best? Thanks

The K and N intake claims I will get like 11 horse power just from the intake. Is there any negatives to going with an intake? I was just a little worried that if the filter is exposed like that it would get wet or be damaged quicker since there is no box to protect it?

Alot of people on this site will say do not believe everything you are told about horsepower claims. They want your money, and will say damn near anything.

stay away from engine compartment filters w/out heat shield. Or just go with a fenderwell kit.
