Sounds like the same problem as before, the new ground cable is not making a good connection at either the block or frame. Likely the spark came from the bad connection.

Did you sand down to metal when connecting the ground to the frame?

You say it only clicks when you turn the key? If so did you wire the Starter soleniod correctly?
