BBK had tons of quality control issues with those intakes and there performance has been questionable compared to other intakes. Try a search on corral.net and read some of the issues people had with there ssi intakes.

Internally to the motor, I'm not sure, since I haven't broken it down since I bought it... As far as bolt ons that would matter, I have the BBK 70mm TB a CAI and BBK shorty headers to flowmasters, no cats, no egr, no smog shit...

I just redid the suspension in the car so it can handle whatever I throw at it...

Appreciate the info... did they stand behind them and fix their problems?

ok I read about 2 or 3 casting issues and 2 issues of oil sucking through the PCV....out of 19 pages of post and a few more in other pages...and this guy Brian was constantly working with people on it and during the whole time he backed his product and helped the people that needed support.
does anyone have any REAL HARD EVIDENCE that these are junk? because right now all I see is a bunch of hear say...

allot of it was deleted... stemming from the fact that bbk was a supporting vendor or some shit at one time but to there credit they did claim to redo the design to improve on the issues that so many had. Not sure if it ever happened or how well the improvements were honestly. Just seems like too much bullshit to deal with when you spend $600 on an entry level intake to me you know.

Yeah most of it is gone. I have a link somewhere, and I'm still looking for it which shows, with pictures, all the defects.

I went with a TF intake instead of taking the gamble.

If I remember right, the problem comes from having non-stock heads. Seems they didn't leave enough 'meat' to get a good seal.

thanks guys...
I diddnt realize that some posts were deleated...I will continue to search to see if I can use what I have...right now mine has a little bit of oil pooling between the upper and lower intake and a high pitched whistle coming from the top cover...
working with bbk to see about the top cover whistle but have not mentioned the oil pooling yet.
