gt ground effects

I've seen a few pictures that look like the bottom of the front gt bumper sits higher than the side skirts and the back bumper. Is this true for all gt kits or do my eyes decieve me I could have sworn that I;ve seen the bumpers and side skirts sitting flush all the way around.

THATS WHAT I THOUGHT BUT SOME OF THE PICTURE ANGLES MAKE IT LOOK LIKE IT'S WAY OFF AND THEN SOME LOOK LIKE THEY ARE FLUSH ALL AROUND. DO YOU THINK THAT IT'S POSSIBLE THAT AN AFTERMARKET PRODUCT COULD BE FLUSH ALL THE WAY AROUND, BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT I'M REALLY LOOKING FOR. IF NOT HOW MUCH WORK DO YOU THINK WOULD BE PUT IN ON MAKING IT THAT WAY??

there are body kits that are flush all the way around you just got match up front end, to side, to rear, if you get what i mean. Dont be like the ricers and mis-match. IMO though the fox GT's look fine with out anything other then hoods, wings, and maybe Cobra rear and sides. That is what im going for. As far as buying an aftermarket kit depending on where you get it from modification may be needed, especially fiberglass. On my 99 I got the Black widow cobra kit the front was urethane as well as the rear so they fit perfectly but the sides were fiberglass and they came in about 3 inches too short on each skirt so me and my buddy took it to his shop and cut it and added more glass for length. what kit were you thinking of going with?

IM DEFINITELY GOING WITH THE GT KIT. ANYTHING ELSE IS TO GAWTY (SORRY ABOUT THE SPELLING) FOR ME. I LOVE THE GT KIT IT'S SIMPLE YET RACY. I JUST WANT IT FLUSH ALL THE WAY AROUND. IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT WOULD BE TO HARD TO ADD MORE "GLASS TO THE ASS", THERE ARE PLENTY OF GOOD SPOTS TO CUT, IT'S JUST THE FRONT THAT BOTHERS ME. I THINK THAT I WOULD RATHER MOD THAN SPEND AND OUTRAGEOUS AMOUNT ANYWAY, IT MAKES IT MORE PERSONABLE TOO.

I'm sportin one of those Gawdy kits on my GT ...But i have all the stock GT kit collecting dust in my basement..Front clip, rear, and all the side pieces.

I'd sell it all dirt cheap if ya want something to experiment with?...All in good shape cosmeticly other than paint.....I'd rather hook a fellow DIY Stang owner up than just throw it all over back....Just an idea Man.

..........I know the front clip is spanking new and retailed for $400...The rest is original..(1990) No rips er anything though (if i remember correctly?).....I can take pics if yer diggin that price?? So you can be sure..Don't wanna waste my time if yer just window shoppin though, hehe!

LET ME TAKE A LOOK AROUND. I CAN GET A BRAND NEW FRONT AND REAR BUMPER FOR LESS THAN 300. BUT FINDING SIDE SKIRTS IS THE BIG PROBLEM FOR ME. I MAY JUST PURCHASE THE SIDE SKIRTS FROM YOU IF THAT SOUNDS FEASIBLE. NOT WINDOW SHOPPING, IM AS SERIOUS AS A 10 SEC. 1/4 MILE HAHA. I WAS ALSO TALKING TO A GUY IN OKLAHOMA THAT WAS GOING TO SEND ME EVERYTHING FOR 200. I'LL DEFINITLEY KEEP IN TOUCH WITH YOU THOUGH!!

Hey Fatty ....I honestly have no idea what the name of that kit is....Yes the one in my Avy is the one i put on.....It was by no means a "bolt on" project...Woulda looked like hell....It was just a terrible mold, hardly a straight line on it.....I've been cutting parts out and remolding for days to make it fit right.

Plus side is when i'm done it'll fit like a glove, But it's been a lot of time and work to get there.

Here's a link to some pics of some of the steps i've done

If he decides not to buy it do you have the rubber door mouldings for sale? I need the ones that run along the middle of the door. That is the only thing I need for mine. If so shoot me an PM with a price shipped to 41234.

EDIT: After looking at the pics of dell's car he took his mouldings off. Do you still have those Dell? How much you want for them? :wink

That's ok, Mrbodykit.com got em, it's the same ones too. They call it "Concept-X" kit and the 5.0 mustang mag is advertising it for 649.99/KIT...

I can see the shipping being another 400 bucks LOL <-- sorta...

Here's the direct site to them - http://www.mrbodykit.com/bodykits/87mustang.htm
