I am looking for gt40p head porting pictures

Ok, I can't afford good heads for a long time so I am going to fix up these gt40p's I have and replace ye old e7's. I am hoping that with the procharger that it has now the car will like the gt40p's

I was hoping to get these to flow in the 220 range with some home porting before I install them but other than diy,, I haven't found any good pictures of where and how to port these and I have found no flow numbers after they port them.

anyone have anything to help?

+1

There are water jackets that are real close to the egr humps, so dont attempt to remove them.

is a p cast that much different then a e7 head? b/c on e7's taking out the egr bump and gasket matching is a must and is very simple.

and it will only take one carbide bur and some cartrige rolls

THe water jackets are closer to the port walls in a few spots, especially in the exhaust.

I have found that the Rotozip tile bit is a godsend, it never gets dull, but leaves an extremely rough finish.

It's hard to say. I wAnted to get them flowed, but the guy I sold them to wanted them in a hurry. The car they went on ran 12.30's with a performer intake and a mystery carb. So it's hard to tell. After I was done I had a standard valve job and shaved .030" off them.
