another clearance question

Just ordered some MM subs. Anyone had ground clearance issues with these ever? My H pip scrapes on speed bumps a little if i hit them too fast, will the subs do the same?

I've never had any issues, for the mid pipe though, loosen all four connecting points and jack it up SOFTLY so you don't dent it, and then retighten, it wont get you much more clearance, but some is better than none. also, go slower over the bumps

mm's one of the most popular brands when it comes to subframes and i've never heard of anybody having clearance issues with them so I would say you'd be good but if you do have clearance issues then you'd have them with any brand subframes

Cool thanks. Lol I do go slow over them, these f*ckers are some serious speed bumps driving onto the base! Its not a bad scrape though. On a side note, my rear passenger side tire rubs on the fender lip if i hit a mean ass bump, or if i have another person in the car. Thats the only side that rubs. I have the KYB GR-2s and Eibach pro kit springs on it. What do you guys think is the cause? I was thinking maybe some bad bushings on that side or something. I also have the infamous "fox lean", which happens to lean to the right side.

I'd check bushings, are they original shocks?

The kyb gr2's are slightly better then stock.. they are a good shock for stock height cars but once you lower the car 1" or so they have trouble but still can be used.

What is your tire/rim/back spacing setup in the rear? maybe too wide to the point that you need to roll the fender lips?

The fox lean is normally the stock bushings in the upper control arms being 20 plus years old and virtually non existent so if you haven't installed new uppers or at least redid the stock bushings on both ends of the upper control arms then you might want to check. It also could be that where the upper control arms attach to your sub frame which are called "torque boxes" are damaged from extreme abuse without being reinforced properly but you'll have to look to find out what the issue is but from my experience they are the few reason for the lean to one side which normally is the pas side

Word. Well should I switch bilstein HD's then? I've been wanting to get them. I read on mm's that they work well with the springs I have, as well as coil-overs, which i plan to do in the next 6-8 months.

I'll look into replacing those bushings when I get the chance.... Hell, I'll just get new uca's and lca's.

I have 17x9 cobra r's. I don't know what the backspacing is on them, and i dont remember the width of my tires exactly, I just know they're like 10.5 in wide. I'd go look, but I'm in Afghanistan lol. Technically, If it rubbed on that side due to the tire width, wouldnt it rub on the other side as well?

How would I roll the fender lip without f*cking it up?

Cool I've never seen one of those before, thanks! Im about to get a new paint job here in a week or so. Is that going to jack up my paint any? That's probably a stupid question, seeing as how the roller is rubber, but better safe than sorry/ f*cking pissed!

If possible try to roll them prior to the paint, but you should be alright even if you do it after, just heat the paint a little
