Will 89 Lincoln AOD fit 91 Mustang GT?
My tranny grenaded on me and I have a friend who is willing to sell me a AOD from a 89 Lincoln Mark VII. Will the AOD fit 91 Mustang GT?

the reason why I ask is becuase the mechanic who checked out my tranny said there are AODs that have longer or shorter tailshaft housings.

in general the trans to really get is from either a 90-91 townie or a 90-92 mark vii soemthing about better srvos and hardend input shaft, i got mine form a 90 and it shift nice and firm, not sure if they fit , but it might the mark vii is a fox chassiss car if it does your in luck. fyi the lincoln trans has a longer tailshaft than a crownvic.
