Few ?'s about 5.0's

Ok I want a 5.0. Pretty simple except I live in California so I have to deal with smog and I'm broke. Basically I want to trade my 97 v6 5 speed for a manual 5.0. I know about the headaches of the 94 95 computers but prefer it's body styling. Either way I want a real mustang and I want a little input from you guys as to what I should be looking to get and or if anyone would even be willing to trade a clean running 5.0 for a clean running 3.8 any help would be greatly appreciated.

For California, stock is your friend.

I just picked up a 5.0 fairly recently, it passed smog just fine. Mods aren't as limited as the rest of the country believes; so as long as you pick your parts wisely, you can still make a beast of a motor that's 100% smog legal.

I only figured this out cause the same thing happen to me. I was like NO WAY this didnt happen to me too! LOL
