and if you have a custom grind made for the tubular then you may think about a new cam, the flow characteristics are going to be different

Power bands on intakes mean nothing.

Manufacture ratings..... Selling tactic....

Its all about combinations of parts.

Have you looked at the rating of a carb intake vs a long runner efi intake??

Some have same rating yet an efi intake has 6 inches of runner in most cases.

Hmmmmm.

im 99% sure he was kidding
99% wrong

so then... I guess I'm not sure what you're saying, well I know your saying advertising is just that a good selling point. In this peticular case if he buys 205 heads wouldn't he want a intake thats rated to higher RPM? or something that is recommended by his cam supplier? I guess I'm just wondering what else it is your looking for when buying a intake other than the above argued "RPM range", port size, TB size .... I guess I don't know after that?

thanks

Thats because of their aggressive advertising.

Designed for 5.0L-based competition EFI engines, these Victor 5.0 EFI aluminum intake manifolds are for non-emission racing applications. Intended for engines modified to produce 400 to 540+ HPstock?, these intake manifolds feature a race-proven design with shorter, larger runners for power up to 7,500 rpm. The base features an air-gap design to isolate the manifold from hot oil in the valley, and will accept stock or stock replacement fuel rails. The upper manifold will clear tall valve covers and large fuel pressure regulators. The upper and plenum cover are powdercoated light titanium gray. The base is as-cast and is not powdercoated. If you switch intakes with a stock 5.0, you will pull all the way up to 7500 RPM!

ACSA

Port lenght.

The intake is an extension of the head.

I will say it again....Have you ever looked at a carb intake?

Imo you can never be too big with a long runner intake.

I would run a box everytime myself.
