what rear?
I just bought a 90 lx 4 cyl that im going to put a 5.0 motor in it.What rear end comes in this year car 7.5 or 8.8?

7.5 for the 4 banger. 8.8 for V8's.

one thing, if ur car is not heavily modded and ur not dropping a bb in it dont get a 9 inch, they are great rears, but they are not needed for a mild to stock 5.0
but yea the 8.8 is the way to go. |

I have an 8.8 that im going to be pulling in the next few days... its has a 3.73 Motive Gear Performance Ring & Pinion posi & stock axles. the best I ran with this 8.8 is 11.89. It will work for you perfectly. Im located in Chicago, IL & I can truck freight it out to you if your interested, $350.00 & its yours

i have an 89 notch with 7.5 rear, 302. i also need a rear end and they are pretty salty if i were to buy new. how strong is that 7.5 compared to the 8.8 and how does that effect the hp?
