97 or 97 ½ How to tell the differance
I found a wrecked 97 Explorer and I was just wondering how to tell the difference of it being 97 or 97 and a half. I don't want to fuck around with P heads.
I know about the 3 casting lines...but is it on the front? Back? drivers side?  it is pretty damn had to see down in there.Either way I will probably take the intake. Just looking for some pointers on how to tell. I noticed the spark plugs look like they stick straight out if that helps. I had a nice shirt on so I didn't get in to deep

The casting lines will be on both ends of the heads ( drivers and passenger sides ). Three for non-p heads and four for p heads.
