swapped my fuel pump with a 255 lph

So far that fixed my Idle issue but I have another issue. When ever I start my motor the MIL turns on immediatly. I have a stock Fuel pressure regulator. do I have to change that to an ajustable FPR. I have a feeling in my gut that the motor's running rich.

Sure, assuming the stock fpr isn't broken. Get a guage on the rail to make sure.

stock fpr should be fine with the pump.. pull the vac line to the regulator and check to make sure there's no gas in the line. If there is then the diagram in the regular is bad and leaking which means you need to replace it but like mentioned above get a gauge on the rail and see what your pressure actually is

Retarded timing will cause high xhaust temps
