Newbie, but learnin' fast....fuel questions

Okay, son's '91GT, base engine is 97 Mountaineer short block, 8.8:1 compression best I can find out.
He's running 24lb/hr injectors, with a basically stock pump, fuel lines, rails, etc..
I don't know the limitations of the stock pump and/or plumbing.

Q: Should we "upsize" the pump, lines, and rails?

Well, been trying to talk him towards that way...19lb/hr injectors and stock rated MAF...at least until he can squirrel away some dough to build up the rest of the car to really take on added power.
Until he gets some other issues addressed (handling, etc.) he really doesn't need much more than a mildly "upped" 5.0 will dish out. I'm a firm believer in "making the car" before we make power.

stock injectors are good til the 280-290hp range and from his mod list he's no where near that mark.

So put it to him like this... He's not even close to maxing out the 19lb injectors and the current injectors are too large thus making the car run richer resulting in poor performance. Leaner is meaner

The stock lines are good until 400hp I believe then they because a little concern the stock pump I would upgrade if the current one is failing or if he throws heads/power adder on the car.

Thanks!
I told him the 19lbers would probably work for a street-screamer.
