depends on the s/c setup

procharger provides a bracket to attach the stock fan to their pulley

+1 for electric. Less drag on the motor.

I'm still using the factory clutch and fan with my SC'd setup. It works fine and has for years, even with the A/C going.

it may work fine but they went to electric from factory for a reason. convert to electric reduce the drag on ur motor.

i would buy the electric fan after you've decided what supercharger you're going with, and what pulley you'll use

if not, you might end up buying twice

I know tons of people run the Taurus fan. Here's an opposing opinion to that fan. That fan is not efficient at all. It draws a TON of power, I've seen some numbers as high as 30amps while its running. The older the windings get, the more power it draws. You will need the right wiring and relays capable of handling that power. You will also need some type of temperature controller unless you want to control it manually or just let it run all of the time. If you are still using the factory alternator, it will be overwhelmed. Sure, it will work but the factory 2G alternator is barely able to support the car without an electric fan (the 2G only puts out barely 30 amps at 2500 rpm). By the time you adapt the fan to work, get the correct wiring and a temp controller with or without a soft start, you have spent a decent clip of money and time on a fan that draws a lot of power and an alternator that is running beyond its expected capacity.

Short story, it will work and does work and a lot of people use them but don't make your decision using only the low cost and good availability of the Taurus fan.

I agree, I'd bolt the blower kit on first then measure to see how much room you have from the crank pulley and brackatry to ensure you know how much room to play with.

Electric fans have there positives over mechanicals no doubt but like mentioned above, Kits are expensive unless you go the junkyard route which is fine but these fans pull allot of amperage. The taurus fan flows 3300 cfm while the lincoln fan does 4k cfm. Either one is enough to cool a blown or turbo motor but they pull allot of amps and require you to upgrade your alternator (which you should anyways) and you'll have to go with a controller that's rated to handle those high amps or a soft touch type so that's another cost. You have to use 10gauge wiring and possibly a few relays depending on your setup. There's a ton of different ways you can do this and depends on money and use of the car.

I personally have efans in everything I drive so im not trying to sway you one way or the other just trying to help.

i agree on all of this man. My car had a 3g alt when i bought it. temp contoller with relay's are cheap as shit. I used my autozone rewards credits to buy mine. I have a friend that has taraus fan with a stock alt for like 4 years with no issues. The power draw is huge but it's just a trade off. I'm gunna be going the show and go route soon so i'm gunna ditch it but it's been a great fan for me. And i live in blazing hot albuquerque

I wouldn't suggest that efan to someone with a blower because 1200cfm isn't going to do shit for cooling.

I had a fan out of a astro van that flowed 1400cfm for about four years on my gt until I put the novi2k on. Would over heat withing ten minutes of driving and had to swap in a taurus
