Would it be easier to build a n/a dd with a 302 or 351w based motor with 500hp?

the bigger the cubes, the easier it is to get power out of them in general.

That's is what i keep telling my buddy. He seems to be determened to do it with a 302. I told him that there is no replacement for displacement.
