I have an 89 lx with manual windows and locks. I bought a set of doors off a 90 gt convertible for another project. Can I use all the power window and power lock guts to convert my 89 to power? Everywhere I have looked said they don’t see why not but they have never done the swap. I would like to know defiantly before tearing into it. Also some say the vert door guts won't work on hatch back doors. Any help would be great.

Ok its two years later and I have still not tried the swap. Anyone done or know about this conversion? Can it be done?

All the wiring connections should already be in your can, but I'm not sure if the guts are the same between the convertible doors and the hardtops. I would check like late model restoration and see if the part numbers are different. If they are not then you should be able to do the swap.
