5 Lug conversion for 91 lx, help with wheels?

Its time to start seeking out a conversion to 5 lug. I want to run some really nice looking wheels, I notice some of the 5 lug conversions really make the rear wheels stick out in the rear which is not that attactive to me, I like the wide "tucked in" look in the rear Im not sure how large of a wheel one can run on a fox car but something like an 18x10 bullit looking wheel or maybe
19x? in the rear and something to compliment it in the front, anyway time to get some experianced feedback?

18s and 19s are way to big for a fox. I always liked a 9inch wide rim in the rear. My vote is 03-04 cobras.

Stock ride height.

Sits flush.

re finally got it

so an 18" is to large to run on a fox car? I'm leaning towards the Saleen Stern looking wheel, or the Bullit style maybe not exactly the exact bullit wheel but something of that style.

thanks

post up a pic of your car and ill tell you what will look good on there. 18's in the back and 17's in the front will look fine. 19's and 20's are too bug to put on any year mustang.

I looked at the cobra wheel, Really nice looking wheels, I'm just trying to find something you see less often, there are alot of mustangs here in my hometown and alot of cobra wheels, they look great but I really want a wheel you dont see as often, does that make sense?

i dont think the saleen SC wheels would look good on your car with that wing on there. they are a smaller looking wheel and with the bigger looking body of the GT i dont think it would set it off enough. cars like yours are more of a slick/skinny type wheel setup. are you against the drag look? if not i would get you some billet specialty wheels and call it a day

It also has to do with backspacing and what length axles. If you want to "tuck" them, get a fox length axle and get a higher + offset wheel to push the width of the tire 'in'. This will allow you to run a 10.5/10in wheel under the stock fender, whereas an oem 9in wide wheel like a cobra will sit flush with an sn95 axle as its about 3/4in + longer in track width.

The Stern replica wheels I posted the pics of come in a 4 lug so I wouldnt have to do the 5 lug swap, making things alot less complicated.
