I'd say to wait on the s/c. Make a good platform for that poweradder first. Especially if your getting 4 g's later, you'll be much better off finding a good one for 3-4 thousand rather then finding a really cheap one.

well let me say this, that there are a couple fox stangs with the stock motors n/a runnin 12's. and the big reason is suspension. and gears. get a full suspension done to ur car and then put some 373's or 410's and ur car will be hittin low 13's high 12's with slicks. but if ur bent on doin the motor, then i would say a good hci swap, get some gt40 heads port them out and they flow better than afr's and then get a trick flow cam stage 1 or 2, then a edy intake or holley, and u will have great car.

I think if you want 12 seconds, you'll have to put your fair share of time into the suspension. For $2500, I'd atleast get some different rear control arms to help you plant a little. Throw in some 3.73s then do as much of a HCI setup as you can. If you're stuck on forced induction, you need to buy parts that you'll grow into.

Hmm.. . .you may even want to look into a top end kit from Trickflow or Holley. That'd be the whole HCI setup and almost all of your budget, but then you'd only need to put the forced induction on and find a way to get traction.

I thought I had some good suggestions, but now I just made me question myself ;-) Maybe you should wait to hear from some of the people here who have forced induction because if you don't buy good parts now, you'll either never live up to your power adder's potential or you'll have to buy them again.

Ask some of the pros around here, but upper/lower controls arms for starters, subframe connectors when you really make power and new shocks and struts. Someone may be able to tell you, from their experiences, how aggressive you want to get (90/10, 70/30, etc) if this is going to be your daily driver.

The control arms can be had for $170, subframes are half that.

Also, I forgot to mention that depending on how serious you want to get about this, you can get into weight reduction / transfer. Alot of crap can be taken out of your car to lighten the ride. I don't think these Foxes had great weight distribution, so relocating anything from the front to the rear is a good idea. Battery relocation kits shouldn't be more than $50 from major suppliers, which is a cheap start.

There are also suspension parts (A arms, K member) that can be had to reduce weight, along with more expensive drivetrain parts (driveshaft, flywheel) but that's alot of moolah. You can also get aluminum brackets for the accessories in your engine to lighten things up.

Alternatively, yanking shit out of your car and throwing it on the ground is free, so rear seats, carpeting, padding, spare tire and jack, smog system, etc are all fair game to wind up in the pile.

YEah you drive the car regularly too so don't get 4.10's. 3.73's are perfect setup. I got word yesterday that you can get rid of the quads and you can add a 15x10's with 6.5 backspacing so you can put to wides or "deep dish" on the rear.

Good idea, BUT (remeber, it's only my opinion)... Worry about the rims later, after your gear change. Spend the money you wanted for rims, for some good heads (Check my signature or call 1-800-270-0095 (Pro Topline) ).

and since cams don't cost that much.... THEN YOU CAN get your rims and order a cam while your at it. Although rims are lighter and will help your times just a tad. Make that not your major priority. Grab some good hp first, then make the car look good. You can see my profile, I got those heavy ass 94'ish rims from the older stangs and it's heavy, but I have no problem gettin them suckers smokey
