doesn't sound bad - I know other people are able to wheel and deal but that doesnt seem too bad a price plus you don't have to go and find one at a yard and strip it down. I rarely see them on craigslist.... roller that is.

Hey I'm not too far from you and have a good roller block in the garage with Std bore. Comes with crank, rods, spider, dog bones, old roller lifters (still decent) and all the other little parts. The block is pretty much perfect. The crank and rods are also pretty much perfect. Motor was running fine when removed, bearings weren't even showing copper.

I'm wanting to get $250 out of it.

I never caught on to why people jerk off to the whole roller term.

The 69-74 blocks are the ideal block, now those are getting tough to find.

Just get a non roller, put the retro lifters in and call it a day.

When I lived in bama and was helping with numerous cars, we would pull 2-3 a week for people looking for them in junk yards, thats non rollers

hear's your reason... the $400 difference between the retrofit roller lifters and the regular ford style roller lifters.

reason 2, the serviceable 1 piece rear main seal.

For 99% of people, they will never find the limits of a 351w roller block any more likely than a early model block, so there it is a better deal going with the roller.
