Yeah i just went through the same problem with my new stang. The guy told me that the lines just needed hooked back up but when I did all it did was leak all over the pass. floor so I just replaced mine. It's possible to get it done in about 6 hours. I think I got mine done in about that time. I will warn you that it's a PAIN IN THE A$$... to take the whole dash apart and all that crap so good luck with everything!!!

Yeah a guy that worked at auto zone told me it slides right out the glove box.

I think he has thinking about the pre 86 as well.

My 88 was a pain in the ass. Do yourself a favor and make sure to get a OEM ford heater core, unless you want to tackle it again for shits and giggles in the near future

work on the dash the night before, it will save time the next day. I never completely removed mine, i just unbolted it enough so i could set it out of the way.

I did my 90 about 6 weeks ago and it took me less that 3 hours. Its more of a pain in the ass to pull all the plastic... Get yourself a small snapon screwgun and have at it...

Realistically, like an hour to get to it, 20 to swap it out, and like an hour and a half lining shit back up...

Its really not that bad...
