if the motor is stock and you have a heavy clutch, motor doesnt have even hp to engage it, that happened to my friend that had a stock engine with a heavy duty clutch. heavier the clutch, the more torque its gonna take...thats why i said if your engine is stock, its having a hard time engaging....i may be mistaken tho

Is might be a little stiffer. I would take your cable off the clutch fork, and move the cable in and out by hand to see if its binding.

Harder than other Mustangs you've driven? Just getting an idea if it is really hard because of a problem or just normal. The factory clutch on the Mustang requires more effort than any manual I've ever driven. The KC is claimed to be 10% less effort than stock but that is not much of a difference.

Could be a number of things.

Improperly installed clutch, bellhousing index is off of the crank centerline, bearing retainer to throwout bearing is worn, clutch fork pivot is worn, clutch fork is binding on bellhousing, cable is binding internally, cable is binding under the dash on the adjuster or quad, clutch quad is shaft is binding.

Could also be normal and you just aren't used to a heavy clutch...

It is 10% lighter than the ford HD clutch, not the stock clutch. That is ~30% more effort than the stock clutch.

Gotcha. I have a Ford HD clutch myself (bad decision years ago) and it is a PITA.

I've had 2 motorsport clutches in 2 different cars and neither had a heavy clutch . I think your problem is in your cable or adjuster somewhere

Losing its adjustment because your cable is stretching...

Make sure you cover the break and shift to neutral at stop lights, you dont want to rear end the car in front of you when the cable breaks...
