MIGHT TRADE FOR A 1986 gt 5.0

Hey, well im new here!

let me say 1st, i have a 1996 acura integra, i was into modding hondas and was a jdm fanboy, but all that shit gets old fast, and to many thefts. I want to trade for something more powerful, then i stumbled upon this

****1986 mustang gt 5.0-5 speed t-tops***

he said he would trade my integra for his mustang, now the mustang needs a heater core? is that bad for a stang? expensive? i dont know much about fords or any american car...(sorry).

he also said its a new engine, a fuel injected one...

i was wondering how are these mustangs? are they dependable?
i want it to be my daily driver and be a little street bruiser at the same time?
its a 5speed with no grinds he said.
will parts for this car be hard to find?
you think its worth the trade on my end?
ill try to provide more info when i meet him today..

hopefully i posted in the right section, and sorry if im being retarded...i just dont know much about these car, but would like to learn more if i do trade

the stock engine on its fuel injected, so I doubt he knows shit about the car. The 5.0s are super dependable, post pics of your acura first, cuz that mustangs ugly as fuck. Oh and to do the heater core you have to remove the dash

Heater core is the biggest pain in the ass for our cars.. expect to pay $500-$600 to have a shop do it for you or waste 4-6 hours of your life doing it yourself.

1986 year had fuel injected 5L so why did he mention this? probably because he's a tool.

Very dependable, they can take years and years of teenage abuse and still get you to point a to b. Maintance cost is cheap, very easy to work on yourself and parts can be found anywhere.

no, sell the car and pickup one that suites you better because that owner doesn't have much taste.

The 1 plus that car has is the t tops. I love ttops on fox bodies. I have looked at doing a targa top on my 95 but I think I will end up twisting the car like a pretzel, other than that the targa top on the sn95 or newer mustangs looks kick ass. I would have to agree with the others on this though. Sell your car and find something nicer, or see if you can get him to give you some cash on top of the trade. I think his car and $1,000 would be a good deal if you could pull it off.

ttops blow.. they all leak and i'd be willing to bet as much as our chassis flex. Ttop car has to leak like a mofo.

Jesus.. Keep the Integra. Or grow a mullet and pick that 86' up. Man I'm sure you could find someone else willing to swap a 87-93+ fox for it. But that thing.... damn that.

well i went to check it out today, the driver is a kid my age (18). He kinda was an idiot, we met at a bp and up here its pretty snow, the kid like makes this sharp turn drifts into the parking lot, tires squealing, my reaction was just, "wow" like i can wonder what else you do to this car....in person this car is clean on the outside inside is decent as well. motor and tranny is good, sucks i really want a foxbody 5.0 stang. Theyre hard to find in wisconsin.
