a 347 is a 302 with different stroke, do some research 400hp will be hard to acheive with just a 302

Unless you really know what your doing and have a machinist you trust, I would look into buying a crate motor or at least just the short block. You will safe a lot of money that way and everything will be done right.

Bad info of the day.........Man you just keep the BS coming don't you. Please explain why 331 over 347? Cause you want to be slower than the 347?
You can reach 400 on a 347 with a good set of heads and supporting mods, your cam needs to be the very last thing you do. I would suggest talking to Jim @ www.fordstrokers.com and tell him your goals/budget and he can get it there for you. He can also help you to get Jay Allen www.camshaftinnovations.com to grind you a cam.
