Question

ECU

I need help. I bought a 90 GT Vert. The ECU is laying in the passenger floor. I need a pic and directions on how it goes back in the kick panel. I searched and found nothing. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Bobby

It goes behind the passenger kick panel. Mine was a huge pain in the ass to get back in.

There is only one screw that holds it to the body panel in behind the kick panel. I am sure yours is the same but mine has a plastic casing the ECU slides into. just move everything out of the way so you can see in behind where the kick panel was and look for a screw hole, you have to move some insulation out of the way and look up to find where it is. Once you find that, just slide up the ecu until the hole in the plastic casing lines up with the screw hole. Some insulation and wiring may get in your way when trying to slide it up, but only took me a few minutes to take it out and a few minutes to slide it back in. There is a good picture in the link below.

I just took one out of a 92 vert. It was held in with 2 sheet metal screws with bolt heads on them. I had the air conditioning box out when I did it. I imagine it would be a huge pain to get to when the box is installed. You still have the little plastic cage that goes around the ecu right? That is how the ecu is held in place.
