Input on my combo, 347

Hey guys, this is my first post, done alot of lurking and finally decided to join, LOVE this site. Anyway, this is what I have so far:

347 stroker, forged everything
H-beam rods
4130 Steel Crank
SRP pistons (10:1)
TW fast as cast heads
TW stage 2 cam
Edelbrock performer RPM II upper/lower intake
Edelbrock 70mm TB
75MM MAF

What I'm saving for :

injectors (what size?)
longtubes (what size?)

So what do you guys think? I am worried about the cam, I know a lot people say get the custom cam, but let me know what you think anyway. I want 400 rwhp and high 11's in the quarter, it's going in a 1994 GT, its a street/strip car.

how much are you looking to spend on headers? and i think a set of 30s should be sufficient for injectors, talk to e3sean, he is running a 347 setup as well

so you are looking for a cheaper range header.....i'd stay away from mac, there are plenty of other nice brands out there for the same or marginally more, but kooks would be my recommendation

I realize that, but my problem is I have an auto and its a 1994, and from everything I have researched, only mac will fit. Aren't alot of guys running mac headers? I would love kooks, but can't afford $900.00 headers.

well you didn't mention you had an automatic, i'd call around and see what everyone has, maybe some might fit but its just too close to advertise, or maybe you could "clearance" one tube a little bit.

Yeah that was my problem when it came to headers, I ended up going with BBK ceramic equal lenths, cause I couldnt find anything and was running out of time to get them b4 my stuff got brought down. Later down the road I am probably going to go turbo so will be changing it around anyways.

I actually have the BBK equal lengths on the car right now (not ceramic coated). I figure if im going 347, i better switch to longtubes, don't want her breathing through a straw.

Oh don't get that started we will have someone here doing their scientific work with cups and straws and getting into the velocity argument again.....LOL

Inside Joke for the older members no offense and welcome to the site, good luck with the build, lot of good info here, but don't take things to seriously.

Id look at 24lb injectors since its N/A and for long tubes Id go 1 3/4 on the primaries.

I think you might be talking about the exhaust system pipe size and not primary header tube size - unless this is a big tongue in cheek post.

"Take to foam cups and put them on the table and someone blow through a straw and the other blow through a 6" pipe and see which blows farther"

OK OK Just Kidding!!!!!

On a serious note go with 30lb injectors
