5.0 Cammer


the DOHC 5.0...

anyone ever mess with one???

seems like alot for 15Gs to swap out, figure anyone could rebuild thier motor into something great for that much, rather than buyin this motor

is it worth it???

jus wondering if anyone has info on it....what kinda power is expected...how much you can pull from it out of the box

Never even heard of it. I know you have modular 4.6's but not modular 5.0. Sounds like a good idea.

From what articles I'v read, its a pretty nice motor, but for 15k you could have wayyyyyy.. more power from a pushrod build.

It's meant to be raced on an oval track or road courses at high RPM's for long periods of time. Way too pricey to drop into a street car, when for 1/3 of the price you can build something powerful and reliable.

It's meant to be raced on an oval track or road courses at high RPM's for long periods of time. Way too pricey to drop into a street car, when for 1/3 of the price you can build something powerful and reliable.

+2 You can get a 351 for 700 bucks and build 800hp off the bat
