94 z28 with 50K

I just took my older brother to take a look at a 94 z28 black with T tops it looks brand new, he took it for a spin and bought it, ohh and it's an automatic with the lt1 275 hp 325 ft lbs of torque sounds pretty sweet.

I have a 86 5.0 5 speed with a new spec flywheel, stage 3 clutch, custom exaust, ceramic coated hooker headers I think they're long tube hell if I know.
My cars pretty quick do you think I have a chance in a race we're going to race the next dry day.

I checked online and it's saying they run a 14.9 stock? heavy chevy or what?

I used to have a 1995 Trans Am with the LT1 and a 6-speed. On the drag strip, they were supposed to run a 14.00 at 100 mph. My buddy has a 1997 Trans Am and he ran a 14.1 at about 100. He has headers, intake, and exhaust.

So, I guess it depends how fast your Stang is and who knows how to drive?!?

lt1's are boat anchors... there just like the 2v mod motors.. without a power adder you'll never break 12/13s lol

hope your brother didn't pay too much for that car because ls1 cars are getting cheap and that's a hell of allot better platform to work with from the get-go

Yeah he just got a back pay check for like 9 grand I guess he's getting like 70k more.

The money was burning a whole in his pocket I told him to wait because it's a buyers market right now.
My car has 3.73's with 325 ft lbs of torque and 275 hp I thought the'd blow 5.0's out the water at least stock vs stock.

I really hope the 2v comment is a serious joke. It doesnt take much to put a 99+GT in the 12's all motor. most people just dont know to mod the cars and just throw bullshit parts at them

I agree with the LSx platform being better to work with fo sho and they are getting cheaper. LT's can be a pita... especially the 93-94. Unless it has had a 95+ optispark upgrade or a aftermarket setup installed I hope he knows how to turn a wrench. I still have 3 new opti's out in the shop because I went through them almost monthly. And they are not fun to replace, nor are they cheap. I don't know what the hell chevy was thinking with that setup....

Where did you get those numbers? What mods do you have, You must have left some stuff off the list cause exhaust is not enough to get you to 275/325lbs .

No, hes saying thats what the LT1 has. He worded his sentence wrong. It should be like. His car has 3:73s, and with the LT1 have 275/325, he thought it would blow him out of the water stock for stock

Thanks, I have a ZEX kit in the works to try and get it into the 11s. I only plan on running that on Real Street Drag nights. For normal bracket racing I'm going all motor

I was'nt saying my mustang has 275hp/325torque that's what the stock
94 z28's have with the lt1.

My mustang has 3.73 gears, competition ceramic hooker headers, free flowing custom exaust no cats etc. Stage 3 clutch and spec flywheel.
Recent full tune up runs great lol.

Sorry for the poor wording/typing.
