01 explore motor

From what i can tell they are 5.0 with the gt 40 stuff right? I got a guy that just wrecked one and wants $215 for it the cost to get it from towing yard. I have not seen it and he has no clue other then it has a v8 in it. I am thinking of puting this setup in our 76 bronco what do ya think it should be worth $215 no matter what right.

might have to swap the oil pan. The ignition system is a little different. They use a cam position sensor in the dist location to fire off two coil packs. If you swap the motor, just besure and you get the whole harness

Well i pulled the trailer a hour away to get it and the dum shit didnt know what he had said it was a v8 it was a 4.0 v6

That sux! I would have tried to get gas money from him. I mean,how hard is it to tell a v-6 from a v-8?

I did made him pay me the $215 for getting it out of the yard and $50 for the gas to tow it back to town. He has owned it for 2 years and didn't know and he said the sales man told him it was a v8 when he bought it. I said he bent you over the table and he got made and wouldn't talk to me the rest the way lol. Hell my mom knows she has a v6 sohc in her car.
