Throttle body question

well as soon as i get my stang back from the rear end being rebuilt, i have a fenderwell cold air intake sitting in my garage to be put in....now i was looking on american muscle for throttle bodies, and i seen a 70mm with an EGR spacer and one without....other than the obvious fact that the EGR spacer one cost more, what will the spacer do? never really looked int to that....and before i forget i have a 88 GT 5.0 5spd

Unless youve got heads and such, you'd be better off spending your money elsewhere... And remove that air silencer in the MAF body.

its for smog reasons... you have one on there now. some people just run throttle body to the manifold. but i live in california where i have to do smog every 2 years so yeah....

Thats where the exhaust gas enters the intake. And throttle cable bracket attaches to the spacer.
