For a street car you probably don't want a spool as it will "push" the car thru curves and corners. In the rain it gets worse. No spool on the street unless you have good aftermarket (Strange, Mark Williams, etc) axles. I wouldn't ever use a mini spool. Do it right and use a full spool if you are going to do it.

rebuild your trac-lok $50, if your using the 28 spline. Otherwise get an aftermarket unit.

Go Torsen.I have a Powertrac, which is fine if you don't get on it while turning as it locks back in and basically becomes a spool. When I upgrade my brakes and have to take apart my diff I am going to install a Torsen.I have been autocrossing and want to do some road course days as well, and the Powertrac stinks for cornering on the throttle.I have a Torsen in my Focus and love it!No clutches to wear out and quiet as can be.
