c4 shifter
i"m doing a engine swap in my 1985 mustang and it had a v6 with a c5 transmission and thats the same thing as a c4 but a lock up convertor and i bought a c4 to replace it but it doesn't have the shifter lever on the transmission so i tryed to take the one off of the C5 but i couldn"t how do you do this???

you got to take the valve body out of the transmission to get the shifter linkage out... and then when putting it back in you got to put it in the correct ridge on the valve body. IE put the valve body all the way forward or all the way back and same with the linkage and you should be set.
