I should have mentioned the car was lowered approx 2 " by the previous owner, Adding the 2006 bullet wheels and tires filled the wheel well, and with the 2 " drop has created the control arm rub,

the drop won't matter i dont think, unless it rubbing the body. the wider wheels are the issue. have u bought or thought about a spacer? BUT now the lowering might b an issue. u can buy the spacers prolly at a parts store by u about 15 bux.

The drop affects the angle of the control arm slightly, body rub does not seem to be a problem, spacers would offset the wheel and cause the fender rub. I heard about grinding the pad on the control arm?
Is there anything else besides this. I thought about bringing the height back to stock or notched control arms$$$

I can't think of anything unlessu get slimmer fronts. Or raising the car a litle--would any size spacer give u the fender rub? they have different sizes and some down to very thin how bad is the rub EDIT- how bad is the control arm rub?

The rub is considerable, turning into my drivway riped off inside wheel balance weight. Maybe slight spacer and minor grind on control arm???

I would be weary of cuttin the stock control ams too much. they suck cause they're friggin so huge. I replaced mine-they're monsters. i would meaure the fender clearance, see about the spacer and u might get lucky?? then i might grind the lip of the control arma little.

Gah', how wide are your rims? The offset may be too far in.

You might try adding just a very slight bit of negative or positive camber to the adjustment. I am having the EXACT same issue on my 91 Notch. Its has 17x8 wheels w/ 245/45 Tires and a 2" drop as well. I am not overly familiar w/ OEM vs Aftermarket "A" arms and their relative thickness. That may be a solution. A set of wheel spacers may add just enough distance to keep the inner portion from rubbin. I have a 1/4" set and will throw them on tomorrow and see how it fairs. If the tires will clear the wells, then... BAM! Problem solved. I'll let ya know.

I have 17x8 with 245's in the front and they never rub the control arms. I had to roll my fender though because the car is lowerd 2". On rare occasions if I was driving rough in a parking lot I could get them to rub the inner wheel well. I have now removed the inner wheel well plastic part though for more upper clearance. I will have 255's in the front with my next set of tires.

I have 17x9 2006 bullet wheels. Well now I did grind off the pads on the front control arms. I did pick up additional turning radius. I still have some wheel rud on the front control arm. I must have at least 2.5" drop on the front wheels. I can only think the drop affects the clearance on the wheels. With having to replace the springs, would spring spacers work temporaryly???

I doubt it is the drop. I bet your wheels offset is to far in.

I read in a mustang mag that the 2005+ stang wheels are actually have a better offset for our cars than the 94-04. Why not swap out to 94-95 controll arms and see if that helps the rubbing issue.

Will the 94-94 fit? Sounds like a good solution....
