Need Help A.S.A.P! (Starter)

just yesterday i finally droped in a 393 in my 87 fox! its a dart block, 8:1, w forged internals, a prochrager f1-r, and a C4 automatic with a sfi bellhousing. the problem i am having is the dam starter! the original starter i had doesnt fit because of the headers. the headers i am using are kooks. i was told a 94-95 starter would work and fit perfect. it did fit good but the gear does not reach the flywheel. so i orderd a powermaster starter and it was them same shit!! it didn't reach again, so summit told me theres 2 problems either i have the wrong size flywheel which is a 157 teeth or the wrong bellhousing... the starter i got was for a 164 teeth.
ANY SUGGESTIONS!! THANX!!

Sounds like the flywheel is a 157 tooth and the bellhousing is for the 164 tooth. Call the bellhousing manufacturer and find out what bellhousing you have. You might have to get another one. I'm reasonably certain that is the problem.

the bell housing i am using is a sfi, i dont think a 164 teeth will fit because the 157 barely clears from hitting around the bellhousing.

i just orderd a csr starter hopefully it will work and i will finally get to fire up the beast!
