I had the 255-50-16s MT ET streets and the diddent work the greatest for me I was really pissed. the guy at the shop said "you'll never break those loose" and I spent all last summer launching my car at 2000rpm. Finally I just got the ET Street wrinkle walls, and the were good for me.

+1 i would go with a 26'' x 10.5'' - 16''LT mickey thompson ET street tire. We sell them at our shop for about 170.00 each. Those will hook hard. Lifespan really depends on how much you drive it, and your driving style. If your ripping it off every light they probably wont last that long. :wink

If you use a slick only at the strip, and do verry light burn-outs, then the tires can last an unexpectedly long time. driving a slick on the street (even if your easy on them), will eat them up really fast. The M.T. et street and et street radials are two totally diffrent tires that share a similar name thats why I used the old fashoned "wrinkle wall" term.

my dads camaro has 31x16.5-15 ET streets they have been on it 2 summers now and it has been at the track about 8 times and on the street saturday nights about twice a month and their just now getting to the gone point. its all in how much you drive it and how hard you are on the car. but they get the job done, 1.3 60's with the wheels in the air
