Venom Module?

I found a 92 lx 5.0 on craigslist and contacted the seller and asked about the mods, he listed some things and said it had a venom computer, i googled it and found the sale add and it stated it increased performance by 25%? I never belive these chip things but what do you guys think? do any of you have any experience with them ? Good Bad? i just want to know if they could mess up the engine and if it isnt worth buyin the ca. Any info would be great thanks!

never had one and wouldn't waste the money.. probably does what superchips or hyperchips do which is increase ignition... which can be done simply by puling the spout connector and using a timing gun = 10 minutes

+1 Ive heard that venom chip is worthless.

ya iwasnt planning on buyin one i just wanted to make sure it didnt have an ill effects on the car that it was placed on thanks guys
