help over heating ?

help over heating ?


i just did the water pump on my car and it still over heats the upper hose gets hot and the lower hose is cold but the upper hose feels like it anit moving any coolant

did you fill the radiator with coolant and burp the system

i filled it up but didnt burp it how do i get air pockets out i just change the thermo stat also put a 180 in it but havent started it yet it too late were i live but if any one could tell me how to let out of the system that be nice

take the radiator cap off. Start the car and let it run, turn the heat on, on the hottest setting.

Now keep your water/coolant what ever you are gonna use by the car. Fill it up and wait for the thermostat to open. When it opens, you will see the water level drop, keep adding until you cant add any more water.

Get a fan shroud. It will run hot at idle/low mph with out it, burp the system, and get on overflow tank.
