considering almost all oem radiators in the last 15 years ford, chevy, dodge ,car, truck, or van have been allum w/ plastic tanks i think they work just fine.the factory expects at least 75-100k miles out of them. i sourced my rad from the j/y ,but it was for a porpuse. i used the rad from a 94 0r 95 cougar 4.6l(caint remember wich year) . it's like the only year that the rad had a regular rad cap and not the big overflow tank on the inner fender with the 4.6 not 5.0. i used it because my mark viii fan bolted directly to it. the cougar fan is almost identical to the lincoln fan.
