horsepower


how can i accurately estimate horsepower without doing a run at the track or a dyno? anyone have any ideas? id like to know what im dealing with here.

A magic lamp would probably work well.

Otherwise, you'll just have to find someone with the same setup who has been to a dyno. Even if you ran at the track, we could guesstimate an answer but without that it's not gonna work.

You could try to get one of the glorified accelerometers though. You know, that plug into your cigarette lighter and give you some numbers.

hahah yeah, that accelerometer idea sounds grrrreaaat.
id pobably be better off wiping my ass and it spelled out four hundred. hahaha

Yeah, I mean, the accelerometer is a sound idea IN THEORY and under ideal conditions, but I still wouldn't trust it too much.

There are a few calculators floating around but you need to know your 1/4 times. Why not just get on a dyno? You can do a few dyno runs for pretty cheap anywhere around if your not getting a tune. Maybe a few runs for like 50-75 bucks or somewhere in that area.

i dont know of any around here. matter of fact i think theres only 1/8 tracks around here also. this place is no fun.
